Clair

It’s a beautiful day in NYC today and only partially because of the nice cool weather we’ve got.  The new 4 song Up The Empire EP ”Loose Ends”  is back from getting mastered over at Spleenless, and goddamn it sounds GOOD!; Doug Keith’s art work for his new full length is getting finalized & he also begins rehearsal tonight for the Rhys Chatham’s 200 guitar work “A Crimson Grail” which will be performed for FREE outside at Lincoln Center this Friday, and lastly, Clair is whispering in our ears about a new EP and a follow up album coming quickly down the pipes.  All in all, a pretty good start to a day.  We’ve got a lot more than this up our sleeves though.  Stay tuned.

For all y’all that were turned away at the door last friday night at the Clair Record Release show, what can we really say other than “Awesome!” We couldn’t be more excited by that fact. I mean, it’s too bad that more people couldn’t get in to watch the band blast through a full set and a two song encore where they were joined by a full extra eight people on stage… but, i think that’ll just teach ya to get there early for the next one! :)

Today marks the official ‘one month left” date until Clair’s debut album Long Road Home makes its way into stores.  Look around and you’ll start seeing these sweet little cards all over NYC pointing you right over here to take advantage of some free tracks to hold you over until the official album release date on June 3rd.  Also, if you want to make sure that you’re one of the first to get ahold of the album, you can PRE-ORDER now directly from the Cougar Shop.  Pre-Orders will ship a few days prior to the release date insuring that it gets to you early.  4 more weeks!

Spring is finally in the air, people.  It’s an awesome day to get out and stumble around.  Stroll your way down to the LES and go out to see a FREE Clair show at Rockwood Music Hall tonight.  It’s going to be a good night for it for sure.
