Ford and Fitzroy at Studio at Webster Hall Nov. 13

Hey there folks. What a week! Obama is the new President Elect and there were parties in the streets. We’re keeping the good times rolling next week because Ford & Fitzroy are having their CD release show on Nov. 13th at the Studio at Webster Hall. They will be playing to celebrate the release of Canyons, which will hit the electronic shelves on Nov. 11! The Studio is located at 125 E 11th Street in Manhattan (same as Webster Hall). The show starts at 8:00 so come on by and party with us.

CANYONS will be released on Nov. 11 in all online shops and stores so look for it in your favorite one, be it iTunes, eMusic, Rhapsody, Napster, or whatever. You can read more about Ford & Fitzroy (the newest edition to the Cougar Family) and listen to tracks from CANYONS here.

See you there!

Dianogah’s qhnnnl gets reviewed on Pitchfork

Dianogah’s latest album qhnnnl got a great review on Pitchfork yesterday. Go check it out.

In September, we launched At Home Anywhere, our podcast series, with Dianogah. They came to Brooklyn and recorded three songs for us, one of which, “snowpants,” is on the new album. Go take a look at our recent post about it.

We are eagerly awaiting the returns from the election today. Fingers crossed!

At Home Anywhere :: Catfish Haven

At Home Anywhere is back for Round 2 with Chicago Soul Rock power trio Catfish Haven.  The tracks were recorded on Oct 6, 2008 on the band’s tour in support of their new album Devastator (Out Now on Secretly Canadian).  We caught pretty spectacular, stripped down, versions of two tracks from the new album, “Every Day,” and “Blue Sun,” plus, a particularly killer version of a “Crazy For Leaving” from their previous album Tell Me (2006).

At Home Anywhere is a new podcast series where we will be bringing bands traveling through NYC into The Fort, a 1200 sq. ft. recording studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn to record a few tracks that we will then give to you for FREE.

The tracks are:
01. Crazy For Leaving
02. Every Day
03. Blue Sun

You have a few options for getting / hearing the podcast:

  1. Subscribe in iTunes! Make sure that you stay up to date and automatically receive future episodes.-or-
  2. Subscribe to the RSS feed (copy this URL to the podcast ‘Subscribe’ box in your favorite audio player)-or-
  3. Download the Individual MP3 files.
Stay tuned for Episode 3 where we bring you an individual who is about as devoted to the road as they come, Paleo. More photos of Catfish Haven after the jump.
